I do not think the Bronies are angry because Twilight is a alicorn, quite the contrary it will be awesome, she will fly totally awesome, but the problem is she has wings and can not use them, stay all day on a throne as Celestia doing nothing .. . I mean what a princess really do in the show? Honestly the princesses are only important for fanfics and fanart, but which their participation in the show?
Celestia raises the Sun, while Luna brings the night. Quite important tasks if you ask me, I wouldn't want to live in a damn cold world. Cadence spreads love (artificial dimplomacy lol) and now Twilight can create magic spells herself. I think it is pretty much like having the ability to research the cure for cancer, for example.
I think these things are quite important stuff right here.
Poor Twilight, all she need is to be with her friends in ponyvile and train her alicorn powers to protect her friends when another crisis come, she does not want to waste her time and power to rule on throne and do paper work, heroes need alicorns too.
Well, in my opinion, Luna helping mane 6 or Twilight training her powers as Alicorn would really be good think for mane 6, after all mane 6 are like glass canon, they can KO everything but they are still normal ponies what can be separated or killed easy, having Luna around would give this glass canon a shield and having Twilight as Alicorn would turn glass canon into steel canon, after all, not every villain will use not lethal force, and who will protect element bearers then ?
I hope Twilight can become alicorn permanently but stay in ponyvile with her friends and study not just friendship but also develop her powers slowly with her friends help in season 4, and still do most episodes what not focus on Twilight.
And if we wont get what we hoped for, then we just need to deal with it.
Isn't all that great despite it has great powers including staying alive forever. If so, I'm thinking we should teach her how to communicate with the dead or talking with her friends in heaven. Same case for Celestia may have friends back during her times and so is Cadance's own husband.
I think Robin Williams in his role as Teddy Roosevelt in Night At The Museum said it best: Some men are born great, others have greatness thrust upon them.
Her being changed into an alicorn in the upcoming season finale will no doubt be quite a shock to her, but I think she wil slowly get used to the responsibilities she'll have.
This image, though, evokes loneliness. I guess she's just been crowned princess of... whatever... and she already misses her friends. I don't know if Spike will stay in her service; but if he does, at least she'll have him she can hang around with.
And as for my opinion on Twilight becoming an Alicorn: I think she'll be offered it by Celestia, realize that she'll have to leave her friends, then turn down her Alicorn status. You can quote me on it if you'd like, as I bet anything that that's what's going to happen.
Can't wait for the interesting stories! And before everyone gets all cranking out about this, like I have to be the voice of reason here. One twilight becoming a princess does not mean that she's eventually going to have to disappear from the series. Two it's not like she's going to probably keep this permanent. There's probably going to be the day where like the other two princesses go on vacation leaves while twilight in charge & goes bonkers on goes great deal of pressure sure and she gets powered down before she destroys everything. After all she transforms because she's cleaning up her mistake. It's pretty safe to assume that she's going to go back to normal eventually.
From what I've seen in the episodes I'd never put Twilight in such responsible position. She cracks easily under preasure (and in this week's episode she's supposedly going crazy again). But I know they had to...direct orders.
